About me

About my work.
During my practice as a clinical counseling psychologist, I have helped many patients with anxiety, bereavement, shyness, depression, overeating, anorexia, procrastination, and hypochondria. My focus has been on clients' emotional and behavioral complaints such as panic attacks, fears, shame, guilt, grief, temper tantrums, suspiciousness, anxiety, and psychosomatic symptoms.

Also, as a private practicing psychotherapist, I have helped many clients to find a way out of personal crises, make life choices, find strength in co-dependent relationships, advance in self-determination and self-realization, stabilize self-esteem, eliminate difficulties in communication, making social contacts, and cope with emotional difficulties.

The main tool in my work is the conceptual apparatus and technical methods of Co-experiencing psychotherapy. Also, as additional psychotechnical means I use methods of short-term strategic therapy, systemic family therapy, art therapy and narrative practices.

Based on the client's needs, I choose the most effective tools for each individual case. But what remains common is an understanding, non-directive humanistic approach. In my experience, the best way to help a client in finding a way out of a psychological impasse is a soft, gentle way of therapeutic conversation, when conditions of acceptance and empathy are created, and a psychological process of fruitful experience is initiated to help the client overcome the psychological crisis (emotional, practical, value-based or existential).
Organizing and maintaining this special kind of conversation is my main focus. If necessary, the conversation is supplemented by visualization, writing techniques or homework assignments like keeping diaries, journals, writing letters or stories.

What will the sessions give?
The client will be able to look at his/her psychological problem in a different way, find resources for further progress towards its resolution, and gain the experience of acceptance and understanding, ensuring the development of his/her experience and overcoming the crisis.

I use three standard formats of psychotherapeutic work. The first is counseling itself, which is focused on resolving a specific difficulty in a person's life related to his or her psychological characteristics, takes 1 to 4 sessions. The second - short-term therapy, when there is a deepening into the personal problem to relieve or mitigate some symptom of the client, takes 10-20 sessions. The third - long-term format, focused on helping in-depth self-change of the personal psychological makeup of a person - some of his emotional, behavioral features, therapy takes 1.5 - 2 years.
